What a valuable and information packed day we had yesterday attending the 2010 Online Technology Boot Camp. The all day class was sponsored by the Northern California Small Business Development Center Technology Advisory Program (SBDC-TAP) and their corporate sponsor Vertical Response.
Included in the course attended by about 60-70 bay area entrepreneurs was Cloud Computing and how to take your small business online and save enormous amounts of operating capital previously spent on infrastructure investment and maintenance. We also learned all about social media and how to work with various media to increase your exposure to your target market. This all-day class with lunch and refreshments included for under fifty dollars.

We learned all about the various free and low-cost applications available to help small businesses succeed without investing vast sums in infrastructure and maintenance of a computer server network in their office. Social media concepts and tips and tricks were presented which made sense out of all the Facebook, Twitter, Linked In, Blogs, and email marketing. The presenter, Jennifer Flaa was fabulous and extremely knowledgeable about all the topics covered. Jennifer is CEO of Vettanna To Go who specializes in teaching how to communicate effectively using a video camera in social media for video blogs (vblogs), video conferencing, and all the components such as how you look, how you say what you say, lighting, sound etc. Here is a sample: Video Tip on Video Conferencing
